:ga-i-te---icon-colour: About The Residency

The Gái Tệ Screenwriters Residency is an intensive program designed for Vietnamese FLINTA (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, agender) filmmakers developing their first or second feature film or documentary screenplay, with sessions online and 7-days onsite in Da Lat. Built on collaborative learning principles and peer-to-peer mentorship, the residency creates a supportive environment where women and gender-marginalized filmmakers can develop their projects while building lasting professional networks.

This inaugural year will welcome 6 selected participants, creating an intimate cohort that ensures meaningful peer connections while allowing for substantial individual attention and feedback. The program includes an online period and an in-person residency, the latter of which takes place in the mountain city of Đà Lạt, where participants will live together in a shared house, fostering the close community bonds essential to our collaborative approach. Group sessions will be held in various inspiring locations throughout Đà Lạt, taking advantage of the city's creative atmosphere and natural beauty to enhance the writing and learning experience.
